Muscle Confusion P90X DVD - It Really Works

By now you have heard everyone talking about the muscle confusion P90X DVDs set.

Like many perhaps you saw it on TV through an infomercial, or you may even know someone who has tried it. This 90 day workout DVD does work, however it takes the determination and commitment of the buyer in order to see results like those seen on TV commercial. This DVD requires a time obligation of approximately fifty minutes, 6 days per week.

The P90X infomercial shows several people who were previously out of shape transforming their bodies into lean muscle mass in a mere ninety days. Although it seems too good to be true, these videos are so intense in focusing on muscle confusion, they will work if followed correctly. This video is not to be taken lightly; each workout is very hard and leaves you feeling sore each day.

There are several workouts that need to be followed in a sequence each night. You will find out when reading the handbook, that you will work out six days a week leaving only one day for your body to regain strength. This schedule must be followed as recommended to see the results you are hoping to get.

The first muscle confusion P90X DVD will start you with the chest and back workout. As you can imagine, this is pretty much self explanatory. This workout focuses on your chest and back muscles and as you progress into the third phase becomes a very grueling workout. Tony Horton has included just about any type of push up you could imagine. The pace is very fast and you are constantly changing up the routine.

Plyometrics will be introduced to you on the second night of the muscle confusion P90X workout. If you are unaware of what the term Plyometrics means, get ready to jump, jump and jump some more. Plyometrics is also called jump training. Athletes use this type of training to be able to dunk a basketball. Get ready to use every muscle you never thought you had when completing this workout.

Each night thereafter, you will complete another DVD workout targeting a different portion of your body. This is where the confusion part comes into play. Your body does not have a chance to heal from one night of a workout before it is being thrown into another physical regimen. The rest of the DVD includes specific areas such as triceps and biceps. There is also some yoga and kick boxing in the mix.

This workout will give you awesome results but it is not going to be easy. It takes the dedication of at least one hour per night and the ability to complete each workout in its entirety. You must also follow the strict diet to see maximum results with the muscle confusion P90X DVDs.

Muscle Maintenance: Some Basic Facts

Once you have a toned and well built body and you stop exercising and going to the Gym for High Intensity Training as you used to when you had a passion for bodybuilding and getting your body into shape; chances are that your body may sag and develop wrinkles. It is of utmost importance to maintain your body else all your efforts to look and feel good are a waste and that too in much less time.

Once you are busy with your School, college, and office or for that matter with your family and don't get much time to exercise, make sure to keep a tab on your diet. Your body's metabolic rate has increased and it will demand food at regular intervals from you. Feed your body at regular intervals and keep up your physical activities so that none of the extra calories are adding up to your weight.

Visiting a Gym regularly is not really feasible for the majority of us. Exercising at home itself following one or several or a mixture of the exercising modules available would be a real help for your muscles to be in shape. Make sure to have a trainer give you all the essential tips before you start with any of the modules. A visit to the Gym at least once a week can work wonders for your muscles to remain in shape and help you not to gain any weight.

Cardio Exercises, Indoor Cycling, Trapeze Workout, Aerobics and Resistance Training, Pilates etc can be of great help and can be used to maintain that 6 Pack Abs without visiting a Gym. Make sure to get at least basic training from a well qualified professional trainer before you start with any exercises.

If you job is too sedentary and involves only desk work make sure you rise up your desk every 1 hour either to grab a cup of coffee or just to stare down the window. A lot of sitting is leading to many problems and exercising only at the weekend is really not helping it out. Quality of life depends upon the amount of sweat you shed from your body.

Muscle Workouts Without Weights

Muscle workouts without weights may not be the most efficient way of building muscle but it can be accomplished with a good plan. Trainees have various reasons not training with weights. Some believe weight training can make them too bulky. Other may travel a lot and do not have access to a gym and are limited to working out in their hotel room.

In order for your muscles to grow, certain things need to be in place. It doesn't matter if you're performing muscle workouts without weights or attend a gym. Muscles would prefer to remain the same size and will do so unless they are stimulated with resistance exercise. This stimulation gives your muscles a reason to get larger. In order for them to continue to grow, you must place more demands on your muscles than the previous training session. This is progressive overload. If you bench press 225 one week, you should strive to press 230 or more the next.

Obviously, you can't add weight to each workout if you are not using weights. The good news is you can progress in other ways. Each session you can add reps, add sets, decrease the rest time between sets, or make an existing exercise more difficult. As long as you are measuring progression in any area, you will be able to build muscle in the shortest amount of time.

The most efficient way to build muscle is to hit all the major body parts. Your routine should work the muscles of the legs, back, and chest. These body parts have the most muscle. You can hit the arms, abs, and calves but the emphasis should be on the three big body parts.

Some great exercises for muscle workouts without weights are pushups, pushups with feet elevated on a chair, dips, pull ups, bodyweight squats, walking lunges, calf raises, sit ups, crunches, and leg lifts. Your triceps are hit indirectly with the pushups and dips; and your biceps are hit indirectly with pull ups.

If you get to a point where bodyweight exercises are not stimulating your muscles enough but you are not ready to hit they weights, you can add resistance in other ways. Fitness bands can add resistance to any exercise. You can get these at most sporting good stores. Using sandbags are great for adding resistance. You can get a great workout by using sandbags exclusively. Purchase bags in 25 lb and 50 lb increments and add them to a larger bag to vary your weight.

You can get great muscle workouts without weights. By using a sound programming that addresses progression, you can add muscle without stepping into a gym.
