There's a plethora of home fitness workouts and products out there that claim they will help you trim up, shed unwanted pounds and look leaner, but are any of them worth it? Chances are you probably have been burned before after buying into a claim, and spending your hard earned money only to find out that it doesn't live up to the promise.
It's frustrating isn't it? I know how it feels to try different workout programs and get little to no results from it. It isn't motivating, it makes you feel like, "what's the point?". With all the so called fitness experts and nutrition gurus screaming at you that their way of exercising or eating will make you "melt" all those pounds of unwanted fat like a stick of butter in a microwave, it can be confusing and difficult to find a fitness program that works for you, especially when you are looking at a workout to do at home.
Let us discuss whether or not home fitness workouts like P90x really are worth it. Can they actually provide results? Or are they a waste of time?
First off, can anything of value, fitness wise, be accomplished at the comfort of your own home? Gyms are literally stocked with machines, treadmills, and exercise bikes that can be worth thousands of dollars. This equipment isn't the kind of exercise equipment you would find in a normal person's home either. Unless the gym near you is dumpy, we are talking about expensive, heavy duty stuff. To gain access to this equipment you most often will have to pay a monthly fee.
Is this equipment really worth paying a monthly fee for? Does it provide any benefits over home fitness workouts? The pros and cons could be debated extensively, but what it boils down to is this. A calorie burned, is a calorie burned. It doesn't matter if you burned it on a treadmill that cost thousands of dollars or while doing pushups in your living room. You can burn calories at the gym, you can burn calories at home. You can build muscle and lose weight at home, all without expensive exercise equipment.
Yes, if you want to exercise from home, a home fitness workout can be well worth it. Many home exercise programs, however, don't help you know what you should eat, and only give you one or a couple workouts to rotate between. The most effective exercise programs contain resistance training, and cardio workouts to help you maximize your weight loss and overall fitness. A really good program will also help give you advice on what to eat, so that you can achieve better results.
P90x is the perfect example of an excellent home exercise program. It includes 12 workout DVDs and a nutrition guide that tells you what to eat. It is a 90 day program that once you complete, you will be amazed at your results.
Check out these P90x results and learn how to get fit at home.
